Manga Entertainment, Madman Entertainment in talks with Funimation to relist title

The United Kingdom's Manga Entertainment confirmed on Friday that its release of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card part 1 has been delisted on retailer websites. The company stated that it was instructed to remove the product and its promotional materials from its website and social media accounts.

The company apologized for the "frustration and concern" related to the delisting and said that it is working with Funimation to resolve the issue. Manga Entertainment said that it hopes to make the title available as soon as possible.

Funimation also provided the following comment to ANN on Tuesday:

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card” will still be released in the U.S. and Canada as planned. We hope to have the title back available in our other territories as soon as possible.

Australia's Madman Entertainment announced last week that its release of the anime has been indefinitely delayed. The set was originally scheduled for March 6. The company apologized and said, "We hope to be able to offer this product again in the near future."

Madman did not provide a reason for the delay, only said it was due to factors outside of the company's control. The company did say that it is unrelated to its recent acquisition by Aniplex.

Funimation released the anime in North America on February 5.

The anime premiered in January 2018. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed the dub on FunimationNow.

Update: Madman's website is currently listing the anime's first part with a June 5 release. Thanks, JRPictures.
