AŌP Idol Group Member Aoi Mizuki Leaves Group

The official website of idol group AŌP announced last Friday that group member Mizuki Aoi left the group on the same day, following an almost year-long hiatus from the group since last April due to health issues.
In a handwritten letter, Aoi explained that she had a lot of time to think during her hiatus, and has been in talks since recovering to make a return to the group, but due to the "difference in direction of her and her goal," she has decided to leave the group. She thanked the group for what it allowed her to do, and said that she will always treasure her time with the group and the songs they were able to perform.
AŌP, an idol group based around the members' love of anime, has performed theme songs for Mr. Osomatsu, Time Travel Girl, Ace of Diamond, Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club, In Another World With My Smartphone, Cutie Honey Universe, Holmes of Kyoto, and the upcoming Over Drive Girl 1/6, among other series. The current remaining members of the group are Yūna Asahi, Hinaki Kudō, Rin Kojima, Yukina Tsutsumi, Kei Tomoe, Non Harusaki, Yūki Hirose, and Seena Hoshiki.
