Businessmen in Africa/African Office Worker Manga Gets New 'Project' With Voice Actors

Kadokawa announced on Wednesday that it is developing a new "project" for Gamu's Africa no Salaryman (Businessmen in Africa) manga. The project involves voice actors Akio Ohtsuka, Kenjiro Tsuda and Hiro Shimono who appear at center, right, and left in the visual below as their respective characters Lion, Lizard, and Toucan. The announcement does not clarify the format of the project, but the project will have a talk event at the Kadokawa booth in the AnimeJapan 2019 convention on March 23.

Gamu's comedy manga follows a lion, lizard, and toucan as they live the lives of office workers in a capitalist society in Japan, while also dealing with their unique situations as animals living beyond the savanna and the food chain.

Gamu launched the manga on the Gene pixiv manga website in December 2014. Kadokawa published the manga's third compiled book volume (with the English title African Office Worker) in January 2018.

The manga inspired an anime that debuted in Production I.G's "Tate Anime" (Vertical Anime) smartphone app (now "Anime Beans") in June 2017. The 2017 anime featured a different voice cast from the new project:
