Theatrical film opens in Japan, U.S. on Friday; N. American stream to follow later

Crunchyroll announced on Wednesday that it will begin streaming Trinity Seven: Heavens Library & Crimson Lord (Trinity Seven: Tenkū Toshokan to Shinku no Maō), the second anime film based on Kenji Saitō and Akinari Nao's Trinity Seven manga, worldwide outside of Asia and North America on Friday. The streaming will begin shortly after the theatrical screening of the film in the U.S. on the same day. Crunchyroll added it will stream the film in North America "shortly" after the U.S. screenings, although the company did not give a specific date or time.

The AniFest anime event in Torrance, California screened the film on March 23. Torrance-based company Social Rewards Releasing in partnership with Avex Pictures will distribute the film in the United States. The companies revealed the theater list for the screenings earlier this month.

Avex Pictures describes the Trinity Seven: Heavens Library & Crimson Lord film:

Heavens Library & Crimson Lord brings back Arata, Lilith and the rest of the Trinity Seven to face off against the greatest enemy in the history of the Trinity Seven; Lilith's own father, who is revealed to be the strongest Demon Lord who challenges Arata who is now a Demon Lord candidate.

The film will also open at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo and other theaters throughout Japan on Friday. The film features returning staff, including director Hiroshi Nishikiori, scriptwriter Kenji Saitō, character designer and chief animation director Shinpei Tomooka, composer TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND, and anime studio Seven Arcs Pictures. Avex Pictures is distributing the film in Japan. The film will also feature a returning cast.
