Lupin The Third: Part 4 Dub Blu-ray Release on June 17

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Purchasers of subtitled edition of the series from AllTheAnime site or event stands can buy new dub edition at discount

Anime Limited has announced that it will release the English dub of the series Lupin III: Part IV as a standard Blu-ray on June 17. This is the Lupin the Third series made in 2015, set in Italy.

This edition will contain the 26 episodes of the series on three Blu-ray discs in an Amaray case, including the two OVA episodes, “Venice of the Dead” and “Non Rendezvous”. The episodes will be in English stereo audio only, although there will be a sign subtitle track. Bonus materials include an interview with ADR Directors Richard Epcar and Ellyn Stern, and “Roll Call” animations.

The series was previously released as a subtitled-only Limited Edition Blu-ray. According to Anime Limited, "When the series was dubbed into English, the dub was created utilising the Italian broadcast video assets, not the Japanese broadcast video assets. This meant that there were differences between the two... Because there are differences between the two versions in terms of video footage it was simply not possible to include both language options on a single Blu-ray release."

Customers who bought, or will buy, the previous subtitled Blu-ray of the series through the AllTheAnime website or from an AllTheAnime exhibition stand at an event will be able to buy the new dubbed edition from the AllTheAnime for only £10. This offer does not and will not apply if you bought the subtitled Blu-ray at any other retailer. The offer will be open as long as the Collector's Edition is available from the site.

If you order, or have previously ordered, the subtitled Blu-ray from the AllTheAnime site, you should receive an e-mail with instructions regarding this offer. Customers who purchased, or will purchase, the subtitled Blu-ray from an AllTheAnime exhibition stand should send an email to [email protected]; this should include a photo showing both your receipt and the purchased product in the same photo.
