Aniplex of America Reveals Cells at Work! Anime's English Dub Cast, BD Release (Update)

Aniplex of America announced at its panel at Anime Central on Friday that it will release the Cells at Work! anime in a Blu-ray Disc box set with an English dub on August 27. The release is available for pre-order now through The Right Stuf International. The release will include an English dub for the opening theme song "Mission! Health Comes First." Aniplex of America also began to stream a promotional video for the dub that previews the song.

The English dub cast includes:

• Cherami Leigh as Red Blood Cell
• Billy Kametz as White Blood Cell (Neutrophil)
• Robbie Daymond as Killer T Cell
• Laura Post as Macrophage
• Xanthe Huynh as Platelet
• Griffin Burns as Dendritic Cell
• Erica Mendez as Regulatory T Cell
• Ray Chase as Helper T Cell
• Kayli Mills as Eosinophil
• Morgan Berry as NK Cell
• Erik Kimerer as B Cell

Christian La Monte directed the dub adapted by Blair Rowan. The three-disc release will include the 13-episode television anime series and five animated shorts that have never been released in the United States.

The first television anime aired from July to September. Aniplex of America has licensed the series and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. A new anime episode aired in December and Crunchyroll also streamed the episode. The television anime will receive a second season.

Kenichi Suzuki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Drifters) directed the television anime at david production, and Yuuko Kakihara (Tsuki ga Kirei, Persona 4 The Animation) was in charge of series composition, and both Suzuki and Kakihara penned the scripts. Takahiko Yoshida (Welcome to the NHK, Yowamushi Pedal) designed the characters and was also credited as chief animation director, while Kenta Mimuro was credited as cell character designer, prop designer, and animation scene animation director. Keiko Tamaki was credited for sub-character design. Kenichiro Suehiro (Re:Zero, Girls' Last Tour) composed the music at MAYUKO.
