Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle Game's Video Previews Features, Story Mode

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Game launches in Japan for PS4, Switch on July 4; in West for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC on July 5

The official website for Koei Tecmo Games and Omega Force's Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle game began streaming a promotional video on Tuesday. The video previews the game's new features, as well as the story mode based on the Attack on Titan anime's third season. Koei Tecmo America also began streaming an English-subtitled version of the trailer.

The game will launch for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 4. It will then launch for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in the West on July 5. The game will be available as a special physical or digital bundle, as well as as an Upgrade Pack for players who already own Attack on Titan 2.

The game will be an expansion of the original Attack on Titan 2 game with characters and missions from the anime's third season. More than 40 playable characters will appear in the game. Other new features include original episodes that expand the story and new weapons such as Thunder Spears. Players will be able to form squads and reclaim territory from the Titans in Wall Reclamation Mode. An anti-personnel battle experience will allow players to fight using omni-directional mobility gear in aerial combat.

Koei Tecmo Games' original Attack on Titan 2 game (without the "Final Battle" subtitle) shipped for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in North America and Europe in March 2018, and for the PS4, PS Vita, Switch, and PC in Japan in the same month.

The Attack on Titan 2 game features improved omni-directional mobility gear, enhanced Titan movements, and more advanced role-playing game elements. A Town Life segment allows players to strengthen their relationships with other characters in order to uncover their stories. A new Monocular allows players to view positions from a distance. The game's new multiplayer Extermination mode sets four-player teams against each other to contest points on a map while also dealing with Titans. In addition, the game's Story Mode and Another Mode are playable cooperatively online.

Update: English-subtitled trailer added.
