The Sky is Blue with a Single Cloud book slated for spring 2020 release
Drawn & Quarterly announced at its Comic-Con International: San Diego panel on Thursday that it will release the book The Sky is Blue with a Single Cloud, a collection of manga by Kuniko Tsurita, with translations by Ryan Holmberg. The book is slated to ship in spring 2020.
Drawn & Quarterly described the book:
The Sky is Blue with a Single Cloud is the definitive collection from Garo cartoonist Tsurita Kuniko, never before available in English. Her poetic and cinematic cartooning shifts between lyrical figures and bleak realism—the hallmark of the gekiga movement—while also reflecting the political turbulence of the late 1960s and early 1970s and a distinctly feminist voice.
