Switch game slated for 2020 release
Konami began streaming a new trailer on Thursday for Momotaro Densetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! (A Staple in the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa Periods!), its new Nintendo Switch game in its Momotaro Densetsu game series.
The game is slated for a 2020 release. Series creator Akira Sakuma returns as designer and director for the game.
The first game in the series by Hudson Soft debuted in 1987. Konami absorbed Hudson Soft and the rights to the series in 2012. The game series spawned a 51-episode television anime series in 1989, and a 24-episode spinoff television anime titled Peach Command Shin Momotaro Densetsu in 1990.
