Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw Manga's 2nd Series Ends

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga launched in September 2018

The November issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Beam magazine revealed on Saturday that Rei Mikamoto's Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw reflesh manga will end in the magazine's next issue on November 12.

The manga launched in Monthly Comic Beam in September 2018. Kadokawa published the manga's first compiled book volume in February. The manga was originally announced with a romanized subtitle of "refresh" instead of "reflesh."

The original manga centers around Geeko Nokomura, who is in a lone struggle to confront her classmate Nero Aoi. Nero turned all of their classmates into zombies. To get to her, Geeko cuts down all of her former classmates.

Mikamoto launched the original manga in Comic Beam magazine in 2009 and ended it in March 2017. Kadokawa published the manga's 13th and final compiled book volume in the same month.

A live-action film adaptation opened in Japan in 2016. Two new live-action film adaptations both opened in Japan this past February.

Dark Horse Comics published the first six volumes of Mikamoto's Reiko the Zombie Shop manga in North America. Reiko the Zombie Shop was adapted into a three-part live-action video series in 2004. Mikamoto's Kyonyū Dragon manga was also adapted into a live-action movie in 2010. Funimation released the film in North America in 2011.

Mikamoto launched the Iron Ghost no Shōjo (Iron Ghost Girl) manga in Comic Beam in July 2017 and ended it in July 2018. Kadokawa published the manga's second and final compiled book volume in August 2018.
