All Out!! Rugby Manga Ends

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Shiori Amase's series launched in 2012, inspired anime in 2016

Shiori Amase's rugby manga ALL OUT!! ended in the January 2020 issue of Kodansha's Morning two magazine on Friday.

Amase launched the manga in Morning two in 2012, and Kodansha published the manga's 16th compiled book volume in Japan on August 23. Kodansha Comics is releasing the series digitally in English, and it describes the story:

Kenji Gion has always had a complex about his height. On his first day of high school, he meets the giant Iwashimizu and a certain ball game: rugby. This classic shonen manga of youth and high school rugby starts now!

The series inspired a television anime that premiered in October 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with English subtitles, and Funimation streamed an English dub. Funimation released the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

The manga also inspired a stage play that ran in Tokyo from May to June 2017.

Amase launched the Matsukage ni Ikō (Rest in Matsukage) manga series Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Young Champion magazine in December 2018.
