Netflix India Releases Scum's Wish Anime

Seinen anime series streams in Japanese with English subtitles

Netflix India started streaming the seinen anime series Scum's Wish on Monday. The anime series is available in Japanese with English subtitles.

Netflix India describes the 2017 anime series:

Two teens in a "perfect" relationship keep a dark secret: they've agreed to use each other because they cannot be with the ones they truly want.

Fuji TV announced an anime adaptation of Mengo Yokoyari's Scum's Wish (Kuzu no Honkai) manga in March 2016. The anime aired in Japan between January and March 2017. Amazon Prime Video exclusively streamed the anime series in Japan and abroad as part of its now-defunct Anime Strike service. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime in May 2018 for an English-dub release on home video and electronic sell-through in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Masaomi Andō (School-Live!, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) directed the anime series and Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA, Akame ga KILL!, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) handled series composition at Studio Lerche (Monster Musume, School-Live!). Keiko Kurosawa (Re:␣Hamatora, Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle) designed the characters and served as chief animation director, and Masaru Yokoyama (BBK/BRNK, The Lost Village) composed the music.

Crunchyroll published the Scum's Wish (Kuzu no Honkai) manga digitally in English.
