Netflix India Releases Season 4 of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma Anime on July 3

Netflix India is listing the fourth season of the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma (Shokugeki no Sōma: Shin no Sara) anime on its streaming service. The anime will stream on the service starting on July 3.

The Régiment de Cuisine rages on as Soma and the rebels continue their culinary battle against The Totsuki Elite Ten Council, led by Central's Nakiri.

The fifth and latest season of the Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime, Shokugeki no Sōma: Gō no Sara, is scheduled to restart its broadcast on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels from episode 1 on July 3. The anime had delayed episode 4 "until July or later" due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The show was first delayed in mid-April. The anime premiered on April 10.

Shokugeki no Sōma: Shin no Sara, the fourth anime season based on Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's manga, premiered on October 11, and had 12 episodes. Yoshitomo Yonetani returned to direct the anime at J.C. Staff. Shogo Yasukawa also returned to oversee the series scripts, and Tomoyuki Shitaya returned as character designer.

Tsukuda and Saeki launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2012. Chef Yuki Morisaki is credited for cooperation for the manga. Viz Media releases chapters of the manga weekly in English on its app and website, and also releases the manga's compiled book volumes in English. Shueisha also publishes the manga digitally in English on its MANGA Plus service.

The manga previously inspired three television anime series. The first anime season aired for 24 episodes from April to September 2015. The second season of the anime series Shokugeki no Sōma: Ni no Sara had 13 episodes aired in July-September 2016. The third season Shokugeki no Sōma: San no Sara premiered in October 2017, and the second half of the third season premiered in April 2018.
