Disney Channel in India Hosts 'I Love Doraemon' Christmas Special

Disney Channel in India started streaming promotional videos on its television channel for a Doraemon Christmas special titled 'I Love Doraemon,' which will start airing on December 20 at 2:00 p.m. IST. The channel will air the following Doraemon films for the special:

Doraemon The Movie: Nobita in Ichi Mera Dost (Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Wan-Nyan Jikūden)

The channel will air the film on December 21 at 2:00 p.m. IST.

Doraemon The Movie: Nobita in Ichi Mera Dost is the 25th film in the Doraemon franchise and premiered in Japan in March 2004. The "What's On India: TV Guide App" describes the film:

When Doraemon steps into a time machine, he finds himself in the future searching for someone who can give him a kendama.

Tsutomu Shibayama (Ranma ½) directed the film. Nobuaki Kishima (Hunter x Hunter, Captain Tsubasa J) wrote the screenplay. Katsumi Horii (MegaMan NT Warrior) composed the music.


Doraemon The Movie: Nobita and the Steel Troops: The New Age (Eiga Doraemon: Shin Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan - Habatake Tenshi-tachi)

Doraemon The Movie: Nobita and the Steel Troops: The New Age is the 31st film in the Doraemon franchise and premiered in Japan in March 2011. The "What's On India: TV Guide App" describes the film:

Doraemon and Nobita decide to build a perfect toy robot. However, their creation turns out to be a little more uncanny than an object of appreciation and wonder.

Yukiyo Teramoto (Hunter × Hunter storyboard artist, episode director) directed the film. Higashi Shimizu (Ninja Hattori) wrote the screenplay. Kan Sawada (Pikachu's Rescue Adventure) composed the music.


Doraemon in Nobita's Little Space War (Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Little Star Wars)

Doraemon in Nobita's Little Space War is the sixth film in the Doraemon franchise and opened in Japan in March 1985. The "What's On India: TV Guide App" describes the film:

Nobita helps Doraemon to create a space movie. After Dekisugi fails to help them, the duo rope in Shizuka, who prefers to make a film about dolls.

Nobita is exhausted from having constant nightmares and pleads Doraemon to arrange a dream machine that will enable him to dream of anything he wishes for.

Doraemon The Movie: Nobita's Dorabian Nights is the 12th film in the Doraemon franchise and opened in Japan in March 1991.

The film takes place in a fictionalized version of the Middle East when Nobita and friends travel into the world of fairy tales using one of Doraemon's gadgets. Doraemon, Nobita, Suneo, and Gian set out to search for Shizuka when she gets lost in the Arabian Nights story.

The channel will air the film on December 25 at 2:00 p.m. IST.

Doraemon The Movie: Nobita Bana Superhero premiered in Japan in March 1988. The "What's On India: TV Guide App" describes the film:

Nobita, on waking up from a dream, decides to transform into a superhero when Doraemon's machine allows the fictional monsters to enter the real world and attack humans.

Tsutomu Shibayama (Perman animation director) directed the film. Ryo Motohira (Crayon Shin-chan: Action Kamen vs Haigure Maô) wrote the screenplay. Shunsuke Kikuchi (Dragon Ball Z, Ninja Hattori) composed the music.
