Muse Asia Adds Brave Witches Anime

1st episode debuts on Wednesday

Muse Asia revealed on Tuesday that it will add the Brave Witches anime on Wednesday. The first episode will debut at 8:00 p.m. GMT +8, with a new episode every day until February 28.

The anime is a spinoff of the Strike Witches series, and centers on the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing "Brave Witches," unlike the earlier anime's focus on the 501st Joint Fighter Wing "Strike Witches."

The series premiered in Japan in October 2016.

Animax Asia previously aired Brave Witches, and it describes the anime:

The Neuroi, an enemy of mankind, suddenly appeared in Europe in the 1930s. Only girls equipped with special magical powers, known as Witches, could confront the Neuroi who were not destroyable with ordinary weapons.

In September 1944, the Neuroi nest was eradicated and safety was ensured in Western Europe. Meanwhile, the allied forces began their plan for an operation against the Neuroi in Central and Eastern Europe. An order to scramble is given to the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing, commonly known as the "Brave Witches" whose base is in Peterburg within the Orussian Empire.

Kazuhiro Takamura returned from Strike Witches to direct the Brave Witches anime. SILVER LINK also returned from Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow to animate the series. Striker Unit is credited with series composition, while Humikane Shimada is credited with the original character designs (which Takamura adapted for animation). Takaaki Suzuki returned from the Strike Witches television anime series, original video anime, and film to serve as military history adviser and to be in charge of world setting. Hiroyuki Terao returned to provide mechanical designs. Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Daijō Kudō planned the project. Tomohiro Yoshida again served as sound director at Glovision. Seikou Nagaoka returned to compose the music, and Nippon Columbia produced the music.
