Manga Entertainment Announces Product Recall of High School DxD BorN (Updated)

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Company says that all copies of title released last Monday must be returned to point of purchase, due to product error

A previous version of this story quoted a Tweet by Manga Entertainment which claimed that the reason for the product recall was a "BBFC error." Manga has since updated its statement to give the cause as a product error.

Manga Entertainment has announced that all copies of High School DxD BorN (released on Blu-ray and DVD on Monday February 22) must be returned to their point of purchase, due to a product error.

Buyers are asked to contact their retailer and arrange a return with them. New stock will be available within four to six weeks. Buyers who purchased a copy from www.mangauk.com should email [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Friday 12 March 12 to apply for a free returns label. They will need to provide a full name, mailing address, contact number and order number.

Manga Entertainment described High School DxD BorN as follows:

"Issei and his harem of hotties are back to take on their biggest, boldest, bounciest adventure yet as they fight to prevent Ragnarok aka the end of the underworld."

This is the third anime season of High School DxD. The original light novel series, written by Ichiei Ishibumi with Miyama-Zero's art, centres around Issei Hyōdō, a dim-witted, lecherous second-year high school student who is killed by a girl on his first date ever. Issei is reincarnated as a devil, and from that day forward, he serves as an underling of Riasu, a high-level devil who is also the prettiest girl on Issei's campus.
