Shigemitsu Harada, Karoti's Megami no Sprinter Manga Ends in November

Sexual comedy manga about track-and-field sprinter with unusual training method launched in 2017

The November issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine revealed on Tuesday that Shigemitsu Harada and Karoti's Megami no Sprinter (The Goddess's Sprinter) manga will end in the magazine's next issue on November 18.

The manga centers on Kōta, a track runner in high school who has so far not stood out at all. In an effort to change that, he seeks out the help of his older brother's wife, a woman who was once known as the "Venus of the Track." She proposes a strange new technique to help him, which involves him resisting his own sexual desire.

Writer Harada and artist Karoti launched the manga in Monthly Young Magazine in 2017. Kodansha published the manga's sixth compiled book volume on June 17.

Harada's Ippatsu Kiki Musume manga previously inspired a television anime in 1999, while his Yuria Hyaku-shiki manga inspired a live-action video in 2009.

Harada also wrote the story for the Cells at Work! Code Black (Hataraku Saibō Black) spinoff manga, with Issei Hatsuyoshiya drawing the art. The manga launched in Kodansha's Morning magazine and Weekly D Morning digital manga magazine in June 2018. The manga ended on January 21. The manga's eighth and final volume shipped on February 22. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga, and released the seventh volume on May 18. The manga inspired a television anime that premiered on January 9.
