The December issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump Mucha magazine revealed on Thursday that Rose Ishikawa's A Woni Yoshi, Sore mo Yoshi manga is going on an indefinite hiatus. The magazine did not say why the manga was going on hiatus, and stated Shueisha would announce a return date once it is decided.

Ishikawa launched the manga in Shueisha's Grand Jump Premium magazine in April 2017. The magazine rebranded as Grand Jump Mucha in 2018. Shueisha published the manga's third compiled volume in August 2020.

The "cultural exchange buddy comedy" manga centers on a man who tries to live a minimalist lifestyle in the present day, and he time travels to the Nara Period (700-794 CE) in Japan. There he meets a government official, and the two of them begin their cultural-exchange relationship.

Seven Seas Entertainment published Ishikawa's two-volume My Pathetic Vampire Life (Hi no Ataranai Koide-kun) manga in English.
