Muse Asia Licenses Rent-A-Girlfriend Season 2, Made in Abyss Season 2, More for Summer

Muse Asia announced new anime licenses for the summer anime season on Thursday and Friday, including the second season of Rent-A-Girlfriend, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, The Devil is a Part-Timer!!, the second season of Classroom of the Elite, Renmei Kūgun Kōkū Mahō Ongakutai Luminous Witches, and Isekai Yakkyoku. Muse Asia will announce distribution details for the titles at a later date.

The second season of the anime of Reiji Miyajima's Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) manga will premiere in Japan this July.

Kazuomi Koga (Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color) is again directing the anime at TMS Entertainment (in collaboration with Studio Comet), and Mitsutaka Hirota (Anime-Gataris, Nanbaka, The Prince of Tennis II) is back to supervise the series scripts. Kanna Hirayama is designing the characters, and HYADAIN is composing the music. The returning staff also includes sound director Hajime Takakuwa, art director Minoru Akiba, color key artist Fumiko Ishiguro, compositing director of photography Shintaro Sakai, and editor Yumiko Nakaba.

Muse Asia describes the story:

Kazuya Kinoshita, the worthless college student. Was dumped by his ever girlfriend after only one kiss and a month together. "I don't want to put up with this anymore." In desperation, Kazuya decides to go on a date with a girl using a certain method. And what he founds at the meeting place was— "You're Kazuya, right?" A beautiful girl, Chizuru Mizuhara smiles at him as she puts her black hair behind her ear.

The first anime season premiered in July 2020. Muse Asia licensed the anime and streamed it through the iQiyi service. Animax Asia also aired the anime in April 2021.

Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, the second television anime season based on Akihito Tsukushi's Made in Abyss manga, will premiere in July.

In addition, Yuka Kuroda joins Kise as the second character designer. The first season's prop designer Takeshi Takakura is now the design leader, with Takumi Sakura credited as the new season's prop designer. Inspired's Teru Sekiguchi joins Osamu Masuyama as the second art director. Masayuki Kurosawa is editing. Kadokawa is collaborating on music production.

In the story of Made in Abyss, an enormous pit and cave system called the "Abyss" is the only unexplored place in the world. Strange and wonderful creatures reside in its depths, and it is full of precious relics that current humans are unable to make. The mysteries of the Abyss fascinate humans, and they head down to explore. The adventurers who venture into pit are known as "Cave Raiders." A little orphan girl named Riko lives in the town of Ōrth on the edge of the Abyss. Her dream is to become a Cave Raider like her mother and solve the mysteries of the cave system. One day, Riko starts exploring the caves and discovers a robot who resembles a human boy.

The Devil is a Part-Timer!! (with two exclamation points) is the second anime season based on Satoshi Wagahara's The Devil is a Part-Timer! light novel series. The anime will debut in July.

Daisuke Tsukushi (Isekai Cheat Magician, Girl Friend Note) and Studio 3Hz are replacing Naoto Hosoda and WHITE FOX on the new season. Masahiro Yokotani, Ryosuke Nakanishi, Akemi Tejima (Wish), Jin Aketagawa, and Lantis are returning as the series script supervisor, musical composer, color key artist, and music production company, respectively. Character designer Yūdai Iino and chief animation director Yoshihiro Takeda replace Atsushi Ikariya, who served both roles in the first season.

The first television anime adaptation premiered in 2013.

Yen Press publishes both the original light novels and Akio Hiiragi's manga adaptation, and it describes the story:

After being soundly thrashed by the hero Emilia, the Devil King and his general beat a hasty retreat to a parallel universe... only to land plop in the middle of bustling, modern-day Tokyo! The second season of the television anime of Syougo Kinugasa's Classroom of the Elite (Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e) light novel series will premiere in July. It will be followed by a third season in 2023.

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it's said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, which is full of all the school's problem children. What's more, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class. The first television anime premiered in July 2017. Animax Asia aired a simulcast of the anime as it aired in Japan.

The first season's directors Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto are returning as chief directors, with Yoshihito Nishōji (first season's opening sequence, Maji de Otaku na English! Ribbon-chan: Eigo de Tatakau Mahō Shōjo, Seven Senses of the Reunion) as the credited director at Lerche. Hayato Kazano (first season's episode scripts, Killing Bites, Rumble Garanndoll) is now overseeing the series scripts, and Kazuaki Morita is back to design the characters. Masaru Yokoyama is now composing the music, joined by Kana Hashiguchi (A3! Season Autumn & Winter, A3! Season Spring & Summer, Black Fox). Singer ZAQ is returning from the first season to perform the new opening theme song. Mai Fuchigami is singing the new ending theme song.

The Renmei Kūgun Kōkū Mahō Ongakutai Luminous Witches (Allied Air Force Magical Idols Luminous Witches) television anime series will premiere in July.

The anime's production committee delayed the anime's premiere date to 2022 due to "various circumstances." The anime was previously slated to premiere in 2021. Kadokawa announced the anime project in 2018.

The story is a spinoff of the Strike Witches franchise, and centers on a unique squadron of "witches who don't fight." Instead, the squadron sing and perform music to protect the smiles of those who have been driven out of their hometowns by the Neuroi.

Humikane Shimada drew the character designs for the new Witches. Shimada and Projekt World Witches are credited with the original work. Shouji Saeki (episode director and scriptwriter for Strike Witches and Strike Witches 2) is directing the anime and handling the series composition. Shinya Murakami is credited for the "Witches series literature." Kadokawa is producing the music. SHAFT is animating the series.

The anime's main cast formed an idol unit in 2019, and the first CD single, "Flying Skyhigh," shipped in May 2020. The fourth single shipped on February 25. The unit held their first standalone live concert on February 20.

The television anime of Liz Takayama's Isekai Yakkyoku (Alternate World Pharmacy) novel series will premiere in July.

The story centers around a young pharmacologist who was so focused on his research that he died from overwork. He was transported to an alternate world and reincarnated as Pharma, the scion in a noble lineage of court healers. In this world where erroneous remedies and cures are rampant, he takes on all kinds of ailments to save lives, thanks to his inside knowledge of modern pharmacology from his past life.

Keizou Kusakawa (KanColle, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st, Ahiru no Sora, Dog Days, Sekirei) is directing the anime at diomedéa, and Wataru Watari (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, Girlish Number) is in charge of the series scripts. Mayuko Matsumoto (Chio's School Road, KanColle) is designing the characters.

Kaori Ishihara performs the opening theme song "Musō-teki Chronicle" (Dreamlike Chronicle), while Little Black Dress performs the ending theme song "Haku'u" (Light Rain on a Sunny Day).
