Muse Asia Licenses Peter Grill Season 2, Muv-Luv Alternative Season 2

Both anime premiere in Japan in October

Muse Asia announced last Friday that it has licensed the second season of the television anime of Daisuke Hiyama's Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time (Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan) manga, as well as the second season of the Muv-Luv Alternative anime. It will announce distribution details for both anime at a later date.

Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan Super Extra, the second season of Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time, will premiere in Japan on October 9.

Wolfsbane returns as the season's animation production studio, but is now collaborating with the animation studio Seven. Tatsumi returns as director, and is also the new chief animation director. Nora Mori returns to oversee the series scripts. Koh Kawarajima is the new character designer, replacing Rui Ishige. Kenichi Kurata is the new art director, replacing Mitsuharu Miyamae. Min Sook Kim is the new color designer, replacing Rin Takagi. Kazuto Horikawa is the new compositing director of photography, replacing Moeto Tsurumai. Keisuki Yanagi is the new editor, replacing Kōki Shinkai. Nobuyuki Abe returns as sound director.

Hip-hop duo Hilcrhyme will return to perform the second season's ending theme song "Koigokoro" (Heart in Love), after performing the ending theme song for the first season. Hilcrhyme member TOC will also make his anime voice-acting debut in the new season.

The anime's first season premiered in July 2020.

The second season of the Muv-Luv Alternative anime will premiere in October.

The first anime premiered in October 2021. Muse Asia streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.

The story is about humans who wage a long battle against the extraterrestrial species BETA, with humanoid weapons known as Tactical Surface Fighters.

Yukio Nishimoto (Animal Yokocho, The Galaxy Railways, Tsukiuta. THE ANIMATION 2) directed the anime at Flagship Line and Yumeta Company x Graphinica. Tatsuhiko Urahata (Baki, GATE, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, Sakura Wars the Animation) was in charge of the series scripts, and Takuya Tani (Ms. Koizumi loves ramen noodles, One Room, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) designed the characters. Evan Call (Schwarzes Marken, Violet Evergarden) composed the music.
