Love After World Domination and The Dawn of the Witch Blu-rays Released on Monday

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Also standard Blu-ray of Cyber City Oedo 808, and new volumes of One Piece and Platinum End

On Monday June 19, Crunchyroll will release a Blu-ray of the 12-part television anime of Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu's Love After World Domination (Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de) manga. Kodansha Comics, which released the source manga, describes the story:

There are two sides to every coin...light vs. dark, good vs. evil, love vs. hate. Sometimes the line between the two grows thin...and it's so, so easy to cross. So it's no surprise that Fudo Aikawa, A.K.A. Red Gelato of the Gelato Five and hero to all people, just may have happened to fall for the villainess and member of the shadow organization Gekkō, Desumi Magahara! But when opposites like these attract, there's more than a few obstacles to their love...! What's a pair like this to do?

Kazuya Iwata (Cute Executive Officer) directed the anime at project No.9, and Satoru Sugizawa (Cute Executive Officer) was in charge of the series scripts. Akemi Kobayashi (Air movie, Chi's Sweet Home, Prétear) designed the characters. Satoshi Motoyama directed the sound, and Satoshi Hōno and Ryūnosuke Kasai composed the music. Pony Canyon and App Dream produced the music, and Dream Shift produced the overall project.

Crunchyroll will also release a Blu-ray of the 12-part television anime of Kakeru Kobashiri's The Dawn of the Witch (Mahōtsukai Reimeiki) light novel series. The series is set in the same fantasy world as Kobashiri's (Grimoire of Zero) Zero Kara Hajimeru Mahō no Sho light novel series, now at peace after having endured a conflict between the church and witches for 500 years. However, embers of war still burn in some regions of the world. The story centers on Cervil, a hopeless student at the Kingdom of Wenias' College of Magic. Cervil has somehow lost all memory of his time before attending the college. The school's headmaster Albus sends him for special training to the southern part of the continent, where persecution against witches runs strong.

Satoshi Kuwabara (The Quintessential Quintuplets, Girlfriend, Girlfriend) directed the anime and handled series composition at Tezuka Productions. Kobashiri and Mayumi Morita (Black Jack 21) were credited for literature. Reina Iwasaki designed the characters. Minoru Nishida (Yasuke) was in charge of the art setting, and Yumi Aburaya (Adachi and Shimamura) handled the color design.

Anime Limited will release a standard Blu-ray edition of the remastered Cyber City Oedo 808.

Crunchyroll will release the thirty-first collection of One Piece on DVD, carrying episodes 747 to 770.

Crunchyroll will also release the second volume of Platinum End on Blu-ray, carrying episodes 13 to 24 of the series
