Announcing Otaku University, an anime conference

Otaku University: Classes Will Soon be in Session

Phoenix, Arizona – February 8, 2006 – We are pleased to announce the grand opening of a new kind of event, ‘Otaku University’. Don't be fooled by the title, Otaku University is not an anime convention. It is a school-style conference. Otaku University's main goal is to help lead you, the hardworking fan, toward your dream job in the entertainment industry. The Directors of Otaku University are currently in the process of constructing the event. Plans include studio arts classes for everything from 3D computer animation to costuming and public performing, as well as Asian and culinary studies. Otaku University will also be covering career-boosting classes such as: portfolio reviews, writing better resumes, and networking. Demonstrations will be held for the classes listed above and more.

Otaku University will be held during the fall of 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona. Don't miss your chance to network with teachers, schools and companies, as well as learn skills that are vital in the entertainment industry.

The conference will host many varied guests, professors, lecturers and industry liaisons. Updates can be sent directly to your email when you sign up for Otaku University's mailing list, The Phoenix Messenger. It can be found at: www.otakuuniversity.com.
