The Concrete World: A Cyberpunk Ball and Release Party Celebrating the Launch of the New Webcomic

Thursday, November 19th 2009 9-12PM

Los Angeles – CA, Tune In Tokyo, Rebel Sidekick Studios and Matsumoto's 2nd Street Jazz are proud to present The Concrete World – a cyberpunk ball in connection with the release of the webcomic The Concrete World (www.theconcreteworld.com).

It will be an evening of future-fashion, international electronic music and celebration of the cyberpunk genre. Tune In Tokyo joins forces with Rebel Side Kick Studios to celebrate the release of the new ongoing webcomic The Concrete World. Cyberpunk fashion is strongly suggested but not required. The Concrete World prizes will be awarded to the top 10 Cyberpunk outfits (fashions) of the evening. Also, limited edition signed and numbered The Concrete World prints will be available for sale (made exclusively for the release party, not to be sold elsewhere!)

The Concrete World is an online comic book that follows the story of three kindred spirits, brought together in a future-shock world, connected by their addiction to the virtual reality technology known as DREAMtech. Wonderful, powerful and dangerous. It will give them everything they desired or it will take everything they have, even their very lives... Wander the forever-night of this neon world as they search for freedom from reality.

The Concrete World is from the creative team behind the graphic novel Motor City. Writer Gavin Hignight (Fox Kids Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Geek Magazine, L'oumo Vogue, Forcesofgeek.com) and Illustrator Jettila Lewis. The series/webcomic will update with new pages monthly as well as blog posts, art galleries, and more!
