Digital Manga, Inc. Re-Launches Tezuka Kickstarter Campaign and a Return, The Crater

Re-launched Campaign Just in Time For Halloween! Take A Walk On The Dark Side With Anthology Works From Tezkua! Also Up From the Ashes— THE CRATER!!!

Gardena, CA (Oct. 26, 2016)

Digital Manga Inc. (DMI), a long-time publisher of manga, re-launches their Kickstarter campaign Under the Air, Osamu Tezuka's dark anthology works, for print and digital publication. Due to minor glitches in the shipping settings for a select few of the reward tiers, Digital Manga has decided to re-launch the campaign over again to avoid further confusion of shipping charges during the pledging process for backers. Backer's pledges are null and void from the previous campaign as it is now cancelled.

The updated Under the Air campaign will be re-launched, on Thursday, Oct.27, 2016, at 11:00am PST.

Tezuka's Under the Air, is a compilation of 300 pages of short stories from the late Osamu Tezuka, reflects a challenging time in the creator's life, focusing on themes of the duality of man and the dark side of the human condition which lies in every one of us. The 30 day campaign has its initial goal of $25,000, which will cover the publication of this work.

The campaign will also have a stretch goal of $50,000 to fund the print and digital publication for another of Tezuka's short story works, Melody of Iron. A story of love, hate, revenge, and a pair of prosthetic metal arms, makes this one of the author's signature works of his career.

As a special surprise bonus, Digital Manga will also be releasing The Crater as a special Add-On item to the campaign. This special “rescue” title has been relicensed to DMI, from Tezuka Productions, to offer as print and digital publications to all Tezuka pledgers on Kickstarter. The Crater, is yet another of Tezuka's collection of dark anthology works, which will be released as an omnibus edition with over 550 pages of excruciating themes of horror, mystery, suspense and sci-fi, centering around the dark nature of man.

To give reprieve to those affected by the defunct crowd-funding campaign released by a different publisher back in 2013, Digital Manga will be offering The Crater, special omnibus pricing to supporters to this campaign only! Don't miss out! Pledge now!

Link to the re-launched campaign will be announced on Thursday, Oct.27, 2016, at 11:00am PST.
