ALTOONA, PA – Setsucon is excited to announce the continuation their partnership with the Schlow Centre Region Library to present the BookFestPA Costume Contest. This will be the third year that Setsucon and the State College, PA-based library have worked together to put on this Costume Contest, and the second year that it will be held virtually.

The BookFestPA Costume Contest is just one part of the three-day affair put on by the Schlow Centre Region Library as a “celebration of the written (& illustrated) word”, held during the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts. This year's BookFestPA will be held virtually, July 7th through the 9th. Setsucon first partnered with the library in 2019 and has held a Costume Contest during the event ever since, drawing cosplayers of all ages and genres to the contest.

The Costume Contest will be held on Friday, July 9th, with applications open now through Wednesday, July 7th. Judging will be entirely online during the days leading up to the contest award show on that Friday. Awards will be available for the categories of: Best Overall/Handmade, Most Accurate, Best Kids, Best Anime/Comic-Inspired, and Best TV/Movie/Book-Inspired. The contest is open to all ages, cosplay genres, and experience levels. For more information, rules, and to apply, visit https://bookfestpa.schlowlibrary.org/events#h.9sweosvzs1uu.
