Setsucon Announces Finalists for the 2022 Setsucon Anime Awards Held January 23rd

ALTOONA, PA – Setsucon is excited to announce the finalists for the 2022 Setsucon Anime Awards, to be held virtually over Twitch this January 23rd, ahead of their annual convention held January 28th-30th, 2022 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. A committee-run convention under the Penn State Anime Organization, the Setsucon Anime Awards debuted in 2021 as an online-event as part of their virtual Winter Fest. This year, the Setsucon Anime Awards kick off the convention week, although will remain virtual in order to allow for expanded reach and increased production quality.

The 2021 Awards saw Wit Studio's Great Pretender take home Anime of the Year, while Fruits Basket: Season 2 took home Sequel of the Year. This year, Wit Studio returns with Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song while Fruits Basket looks to take two straight with their Final Season. Top shows, films, characters, and more fill the awards show, which celebrates anime and anime production of the Winter 2021 Season through the Fall 2021 Season.

The finalists for the 2022 Setsucon Anime Awards are as follows (in alphabetical order):

The 2022 Setsucon Anime Awards will take place on January 23rd at 7pm ET on twitch.tv/Setsucon.

ABOUT SETSUCON: Setsucon is organized by the Penn State Anime Organization at University Park. Starting out in 2007 at the Days Inn Penn State in State College, this student and alumni run event moved to Altoona in 2018 to continue growing and presenting a safe and inclusive family friendly convention to Pennsylvania and beyond. With nearly 1,500 attendees, it is one of the largest fandom events in Central Pennsylvania and the fourth largest annual anime convention in the state. Setsucon was named the Penn State Student Organization Program of the Year in 2018. The next convention will be held January 28th-30th, 2022 at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
