Steamforged Games Announces Pre-Order for Resident Evil: The Board Game
Steamforged Games, leading UK studio for tabletop video game adaptations, has officially announced a pre-order for Resident Evil: The Board Game, on August 18th.
Fans of the game can get in early and avoid disappointment by taking advantage of the pre-order to secure access to the board game. Available online from steamforged.com, the horror classic will offer open world exploration of the iconic Spencer Mansion in a cooperative survival horror campaign for one to four players.
Based on the 2002 remake of the genre-defining CAPCOM video game, Resident Evil: The Board Game will see players take on the role of Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) members who find themselves stranded in a mysterious mansion after setting out to investigate a series of bloody and unusual murders.
The board game adaptation is a campaign game playable over 30 hours, where every decision counts and has far-reaching consequences. As campaigns progress, the mansion will evolve and the danger level will rise.
The game is one of six Steamforged collaborations with video game giant CAPCOM, including Monster Hunter World Iceborne: The Board Game which grossed more than £2.8 million on Kickstarter and gained more than 13,000 backers earlier this year.
