Interesting, I've never seen ANN do an article of this kind for a manga. Out of the 6 new series that Jump put out, this is the only one I haven't read and I don't plan on reading it any time soon. It just seems like it's another Nisekoi and I hate these kinds of manga. If it had some extra element to it and it wasn't just another plain high school manga with a big "harem" and a bunch of love interests, maybe I would've given it a chance. The artwork seems to be very well done in this, so it has a strong point.

Funny enough I ended up enjoying Yuragisou no Yuuna-san, which is the other romcom from the Jump lineup because I liked the supernatural/youkai aspects it had to offer and the story is structured in such a way that it can end in a satisfying way even if it end's up ending prematurely. The characters are good and are also really beautifully drawn and the comedy is good.

And now, a new romcom named Cross Account is starting next issue in Jump, making the competition fierce for this genre in the magazine. Yuragisou is safe because it ranks decently and it sells very well.

We Never Learn sold 16 k copies in 3 days I think and it's getting reprinted already, which suggests it's doing better than expected, but it hasn't been ranking that well, but it's still doing better than Poro, the Marie one and U19 (RIP). Will it survive?

"The first volume will ship in Japan on June 16."

Someone needs some sleep, the first volume is already released since June 2 Laughing

This was one of those rare harem stories which actually tries to do things a little bit differently. But it's currently in danger of pissing me off, if that tsundere girl gets more scenes.

I like Takemoto getting more scenes, she's my favorite character.

We...Learn IS terrible, surprisingly even more so than Nisekoi. I suspect it's for the chop soon.

Currently, there are three girls in the harem, with two more on the periphery of the narrative who seem likely to eventually join up. I really was hoping it didn't go the harem route though. It's such a cheap cop-out way to extend the length of the story.

It started out good, but I feel it's been focusing on excuses to have sexually suggestive moments in there rather than progressing the plot. We just had a chapter where the tomboy character forgot to wear her bra to school and keeps bumping up against the male lead in a co-ed basketball game, and another chapter where he accidentally lets the female students into a sauna room he was cleaning and he has to avoid getting caught while seeing them naked and half-naked. There is zero plot development of any sort in either of those chapters.

Initially, it was focused on the studying part. It had a very tight dynamic between the three main characters, and I would've preferred if it stuck to the studying and the three characters. It wouldn't have lasted long as a series, though, and I can see why it went where it did to pad things out and go on for as long as the executives want.

It is still better than the carrot-on-a-stick approach to Nisekoi though, but I'm sure if We Never Learn! goes on for as long as Nisekoi did, it'll do it too.

Are we reading the same thing? A lot of people love the series and it's very fun. It's preforming quite well and seemingly in no danger of being cancelled at all.

I guess it was a good call on my part to avoid it. It's pointless to pick something up just to hate it.

I wouldn't say it's in no danger at all.

I'm actually enjoying this manga. Glad to hear that it's doing well.

I like Ogata the most. It does look like Nisekoi but I was ok with Nisekoi. And, we already got a big juicy development with Ogata a couple of chapters ago.

I hope they've more interactions with the MC's family (specially the little kids. They're hilarious).
