Taishi Tsutsui's 'We Never Learn' Manga Gets 2nd Printing of Volume 1

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga in Shonen Jump about student tutoring 2 prodigy classmates launched in February

Manga creator Taishi Tsutsui revealed on his official Twitter account on Monday that the first compiled book volume of his We Never Learn (Boku-tachi wa Benkyō ga Dekinai) manga will get a second printing. He drew a sketch to commemorate the milestone.

The first volume shipped in Japan on June 2.

We Never Learn centers on Yuiga, a student who is aiming for a scholarship because he comes from a poor family. His school gives him a condition: he can have a recommendation for a scholarship if he tutors his two beautiful classmates to help them get into the schools of their choice. Ogata may be a science genius and Furuhashi a literature prodigy — but Ogata is aiming for a liberal arts school and Furuhashi is aiming for a science school. And they're both clueless outside their fields of expertise.

Tsutsui launched the manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February. Viz Media previewed the first three chapters of the manga for free as part of its "Jump Start" initiative, and added the manga as a regular series for its digital English edition of Weekly Shonen Jump on April 14.

Tsutsui is drawing the Nisekoi spinoff manga Magical Pâtissier Kosaki-chan, and also wrote the Steins;Gate: Hiyoku Renri no Sweets Honey spinoff manga.

Update: Corrected release date. Thanks, Shinuki.
