I'm so glad to hear this
As someone for whom season 1 came out of nowhere and became an instant classic like only 1 other anime in recent memory has for me I can't wait to be able to see this movie

I'm really tired of this new trend of movie as continuation of TV show. I doubt it'll be screening anywhere where I live so ultimately I'll have to watch it online (is it/will it even be available?) which makes it no different than a TV show. Or it might screen, but only as dub. Considering they haven't bothered to release a DVD/blue ray of the show in the west I'm not exactly expecting much.

Uhhhh, an anime series continuing as a movie isn't a "new trend." That's been going on for decades (Martian Successor Nadesico and Neon Genesis Evangelion were both mid-'90s examples, for instance) and it doesn't feel any more frequent now than in any previous period. That aside, I am definitely looking forwards to the movie despite concerns about its content not being well-suited to movie-length format (a concern I had even before reading this review). This one snuck up on me to become one of the most engaging SOL series I've ever watched, and I am eager to see how the lovable cast shake out as adults. Doubt it'll make theaters, but I expect that CR will stream it eventually. |

In fact, I'm pretty sure this trend has been there for a long long while in the industry, since very early in the 80s, Space Runaway Ideon (with a compilation film for the series included too, complete package) comes to mind quite immediately (also known as the "OG End of Eva experience" way back in the day). |

So is this movie an finale/epilogue to the series? Because I thought aged-up characters and timeskips usually indicate exactly this

Maybe, maybe not. There have been other franchises where a time skip is merely a season transition or something similar. Naruto and Bunny Drop comes to mind.
As far as Laid-Back Camp goes, there's nothing wrong with aging the characters, since their interests aren't tied down with their high school club, even if the club itself is part of it for some of them. It would be nice to be able to see this movie, though, but I doubt it'll ever run in cinemas in Norway, so HOW ABOUT A BLURAY RELEASE OF THE ENTIRE FRANCHISE ALREADY FFS! |

The manga is still going with the girls in high school as usual, so as far as the anime goes, I hope not. |

I disagree with this review, which unfairly dismisses the plot as "simple". The story only outwardly appears this way, but it's actually nuanced and shows viewers how being an adult lent itself to things that are bigger in scale than before because of the responsibilities that come with the freedom. All in all, it's a great movie for everyone, and with a Crunchyroll release in just under a week, I hope people will get the chance to watch this one for themselves. In the meantime, if anyone's interested in a detailed, insightful and fair review, this blogger does a great job of sharing why the movie's so enjoyable, what adult responsibilities entail and even explains why the movie format works for Yuru Camp.
