The official website for the Uta no Prince Sama television anime franchise confirmed on Monday that the anime is getting a fourth season. The final episode of Utano☆Princesama Revolutions, the third Uta no Prince Sama television anime season, ended last month with the messages "To Be Continued…" and "See You Next Season."
Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Revolutions was the third anime season adapting Broccoli's dating simulation video game for female players. In the first season of the slapstick romantic comedy, the female protagonist goes to a school for the performing arts with young men who are budding idols. The subsequent seasons followed seven of the young men after they form the idol group ST☆RISH.
Makoto Hoshino (Sword Art Online, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness), episode director for the first two anime seasons, directed the third series at A-1 Pictures. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime for North America.
The original Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 1000% anime aired in Japan in July 2011, and ended in the September of that year. Niconico streamed that series outside of Japan as it aired. Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love 2000%, the second series, premiered in Japan in 2013, and Crunchyroll also streamed the series. Sentai Filmworks has also licensed the first and the second seasons.
