Seattle's Sakura-Con to Host The Reflection, Mushishi Director Hiroshi Nagahama

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Convention to be held from April 19-21

The official website for Seattle's Sakura-Con convention announced on Saturday that it will host anime director Hiroshi Nagahama. Nagahama has attended Sakura-Con several times in the past.

Nagahama served as animation director for the Revolutionary Girl Utena anime series and directed the Mushishi anime series and its sequels. He also directed the Flowers of Evil anime series. He created The Reflection television anime series along with late comics pioneer Stan Lee, and he also directed the series and designed the characters. Nagahama had stated in December 2017 that he was trying to make a sequel to The Reflection. Most recently, Nagahama directed an episode of the Rinshi!! Ekoda-chan anime (each episode of the anime features a different staff, cast, and anime studio).

This year's event will be held at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle from April 19-21. Manga creator and illustrator Satoshi Shiki (Daphne in the Brilliant Blue), prop designer Hideo Okamoto, artist Yutaka Minowa, doujin game creator Ryukishi07, and the band ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D will also attend the event.
