Shogakukan to release limited edition volume with 92-minute OVA on April 15

Japanese publisher Shogakukan's listing of the limited edition of the 86th compiled volume of Gōshō Aoyama's Detective Conan (Case Closed) manga confirms that the limited edition will bundle a 92-minute video anime on DVD. Shogakukan will release the limited edition and DVD bundle on April 15 for 2,980 yen (about US$25). The video anime will mark the first time the franchise has had an OVA bundled with a manga volume.

Aoyama first launched his long-running Detective Conan manga about a brilliant teen detective trapped in a child's body in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. Viz Media is releasing the manga in English under the title Case Closed, and the company will release the 54th compiled volume in April.

TMS Entertainment began airing the ongoing television anime adaptation of the original manga in 1996, and the company is debuting the 19th theatrical film in April.

Funimation released the beginning of the television series on DVD in North America. Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block also aired part of the series. Crunchyroll is streaming the most recent episodes as they air.
