Animax Asia to Simulcast D.Gray-man Hallow, Mob Psycho 100 Anime

Southeast Asian channel Animax Asia announced on Wednesday that it will simulcast the D.Gray-man Hallow and Mob Psycho 100 television anime. It also announced that it will air the Invaders of the Rokujyōma!?, Cerberus, Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto, Durarara!!×2 The First Arc, Samurai Jam -Bakumatsu Rock-, and Shōnen Hollywood anime.

Animax Asia will premiere D.Gray-man Hallow on July 5 at 9:00 p.m. in Jakarta and Bangkok, and 10:00 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines, and will air on the same time slot every Tuesday, on the same day as Japan.

Picking up where the previous season left off, D.Gray-man Hallow brings a fresh new look to the hit series for the 10 th year anniversary of its anime debut. Set in the early 20 th century, the series revolves around Allen Walker, a teenager exorcist who is able to transform his left arm into a large claw or sword. He is part of a group known as the Black Order, whose sole mission is to protect mankind from the evildoings of the villainous Millennium Earl. With social media and the online sphere abuzz with anticipation for the series, it is undoubtedly one of the hottest new titles of the upcoming season!

Yoshiharu Ashino (Tweeny Witches, Cross Ange, First Squad) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, with scripts by Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Prison School, Dagashi Kashi), Tatsuto Higuchi (My-Otome, Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman, Schwarzes Marken), and Kenichi Yamashita (Koutetsu Sangokushi, Ishida and Asakura, Actually, I Am…). Yousuke Kabashima (The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, Lord Marksman and Vanadis) is adapting the character designs for animation, and is also serving as chief animation director. Yasuhiro Moriki (Ninja Robots, Crest of the Stars, Bakuon!!) is credited for design. Kaoru Wada is returning from the previous D.Gray-man anime to compose the music.

Rock band Lenny code fiction will perform the anime's opening theme, and Mashiro Ayano (Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works) will perform the ending theme song "Lotus Pain."

Animax Asia will premiere Mob Psycho 100 on July 12 at 9:30 p.m. in Jakarta and Bangkok, and 10:30 p.m. in Singapore and the Philippines, and will air on the same time slot every Tuesday, on the same day as Japan.

Adapted from a celebrated manga by One-Punch Man author ONE, Mob Psycho 100 is a supernatural comedy that revolves around Kageyama Shigeo, a seemingly ordinary boy who keeps his psychic powers hidden. Known to others as “Mob”, Shigeo intentionally refrains from making his presence known or standing out amongst others due to a peculiar affliction – his psychic powers will go out of control and he explodes if his emotional capacity reaches 100%! Produced by renowned studio BONES (known for its work on hit series such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Space Dandy), fans are sure to be in for an amazing visual treat!

Yuzuru Tachikawa (Death Parade) is directing the anime at BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist, Eureka Seven, Space Dandy, Blood Blockade Battlefront). Hiroshi Seko (Ajin) is overseeing the scripts, Yoshimichi Kameda (One-Punch Man animation director) is the character designer, Kazuhiro Wakabayashi (Eureka Seven, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Soul Eater) is the sound director, and Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Hana Moyu, Patlabor) is composing the music. Rock band ALL OFF (Heavy Object) will perform the ending theme song "Refrain Boy." The single CD for MOB CHOIR's opening theme will ship on August 31, and will also include a "talking song" titled "Chōnōryokusha ni Arigatō" (Thanks to People With Special Powers), performed by Takahiro Sakurai as his character Arataka Reigen. Original creator ONE wrote the lyrics to the song.

Animax Asia will premiere Invaders of the Rokujyōma!? on July 5 at 8:00 p.m., airing two episodes back-to-back every Monday and Tuesday night.

The "apartment comedy" centers around Kōtarō Satōmi, a boy who started to live by himself to attend a high school. He fortunately discovered a very cheap, tiny (six-mat or rokujyōma) room for 5,000 yen (about US$50) a month, and began his new life there. However, when he moved into that room 106 in the Korona complex, some unexpected "roommates" began appearing one by one.

Shin Oonuma (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, ef: a tale of melodies) directed the anime at animation Studio Silver Link (Dusk maiden of Amnesia, Kokoro Connect), and original creator Takehaya served as series director. Poko provided the original character designs, and Hideki Furukawa adapted the character designs for the anime, and also acted as storyboard director. Shogo Yasukawa handled series composition, Ryosuke Nakanishi scored the soundtrack, and Zero-A produced the music.

Animax Asia will premiere Cerberus on July 21 at 6:30 p.m., airing two episodes back-to-back every Monday to Friday night.

The anime is set on a continent ruled by sword and magic called Kunaaan, where a power balance between the Holy Kingdom of Amoria, the Kingdom of Ishilfen, and the Vanrodis Kingdom keeps a peace so unstable that any tragedy that befalls any one kingdom will mean war for the entire continent. Another power, the evil dragon Daganzord, also resides on the continent, and no one is powerful enough to stop him from spreading destruction and charred land in his wake. Two individuals, Bairo and Kismitete, undertook a ritual alongside a party of wizards to seal Daganzord, but were foiled. This event was known thereafter as the Balbagoa Tragedy. Bairo and Kismitete's son Hiiro is saved by Giiru, and Hiiro swears to avenge his parents' deaths and trains himself with the sword. When Hiiro turns 16, he sets out on a journey to slay the dragon, and Giruu accompanies him, having no Chōice. Along the way, they meet many types of people, and gain companions on their journey.

Nobuhiro Kondō (Keroro Gunsō, Jewelpet: Magical Change) directed the series at the studio Bridge (Fairy Tail, Nobunagun). Hiroshi Ohnogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Macross) was in charge of the series' scripts. Gō Tōgetsu designed the characters for animation. Noboru Haraguchi (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Tokyo Ghoul) directed the sound at Tohokushinsha Film.

Animax Asia will premiere Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto on July 26 at 8:00 p.m., airing two episodes back-to-back every Monday and Tuesday night.

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto's story follows the daily life of the "coolest" high school student, Sakamoto. As soon as he transfers to his new school, he attracts the attention of not just his class but the whole student body, and his jealous classmates' attempts to bully him repeatedly backfire and instead make Sakamoto look cooler.

Shinji Takamatsu (Gintama, Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, School Rumble) directed the anime at Studio DEEN. Atsuko Nakajima (You're Under Arrest, Ranma ½, Hakuōki) designed the characters for animation. Yasuhiko Fukuda (Kocchi Muite Miko, Doamaiger D, Kurayami Santa) composed the music. Masatoshi Muto (Tokyo Ghoul, Riddle Story of Devil) served as art director.

Animax Asia will premiere Durarara!! x2 The First Arc (Durarara!!×2 Shō) on July 28 at 10:00 p.m., airing two episodes back-to-back every Thursday and Friday night.

The anime premiered in Japan in January 2015. Animax Asia previously aired a simulcast of Durarara!! ×2 The Third Arc earlier this year in January.

Takahiro Ōmori directed the anime at new studio Shuka with series composition by Noboru Takagi. Takahiro Kishida designed the characters for the series, and Makoto Yoshimori provided the music. Eri Yamazaki designed the props, Hiromi Miyawaki was in charge of the color key, Norikazu Kamibayashi served as CG producer, Kazuhiko Seki edited, Jin Tamura was in charge of photography, and the name of the animation's production group was Ikebukuro Dollars (the same as the first season). The main cast from the original anime returned to reprise their roles.

Animax Asia will premiere Samurai Jam -Bakumatsu Rock- on July 13 at 6:30 p.m., airing two episodes back-to-back every Monday to Friday.

The story is set in the Bakumatsu era, at the end of the shoguns' rule over Japan in the middle of the 19th century. The Tokugawa shogunate uses the brainwashing "Heaven's Songs" by the top idols in Shinsengumi to subjugate the country and its people. In this Japan, writing or singing any songs besides the "Heaven's Songs" is a capital offense. Ryōma Sakamoto and the other rockers rise up and change the world with rock 'n' roll for freedom and justice.

Itsuro Kawasaki (Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes, Arc the Lad) directed the anime at Studio DEEN. Mitsutaka Hirota (The Prince of Tennis II, X-Men) was in charge of the scripts, and Akiharu Ishii (The Prince of Tennis, Blood+, Loups=Garous - The Motion Picture) designed the characters. Visual kei rock band vistlip (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's) performed the opening theme song "Jack."

Animax Asia will premiere Shōnen Hollywood on July 13 at 8:30 p.m., with subsequent airings at 8:00 p.m.. It will air two episodes back-to-back every Wednesday and Thursday.

Shōnen Hollywood is a television anime series inspired by Ikuyo Hashiguchi's mixed-media project Shōnen Hollywood and produced by anime studio ZEXCS (Diabolik Lovers, Cuticle Detective Inaba) and the music label Starchild Records. Shogakukan Bunko published Hashiguchi's original popular novel Shōnen Hollywood in July 2012. The Shōnen Hollywood project already inspired a popular live-action production that Hashiguchi also created.

The anime will tell an original story set 15 years after the novel's story. It takes place at a fictional theater called Hollywood Tokyo in Harajuku, where members of the idol group "Shōnen Hollywood" develop their talents with diligent work and studying. The newly announced cast includes several original members of Shōnen Hollywood from the novel.

Hashiguchi herself was in charge of the series scripts, and Toshimasa Kuroyanagi (Say, "I Love You".) directed the anime. Kei Tsuchiya (Aruvu Rezuru - Kikai Jikake no Yōsei-tachi) designed the characters and served as chief animation director. Yuka Hirama was the art director, and Tetsuji Hayashi scored the soundtrack.
