Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! Anime's Video Previews Ending Theme

posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Series premieres on January 8

The official website for the television anime of Nanatsu Mukunoki's Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! (An Angel Flew Down to Me!) manga began streaming the second promotional video for the series on Saturday. The video previews the group WATATEN!☆5's ending theme song "Happy Happy Friends."

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 8. The series will then also air on Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, TV Q Kyuushuu, and BS11.

The anime stars:

The four-panel comedy manga's story centers on Miyako Hoshino, a shy college student and otaku. Miyako's younger sister Hinata, who is a fifth grader, has a classmate and friend named Hana. When they meet, Miyako falls for Hana at first sight.

The anime is reuniting staff members who worked together on the New Game! anime. Daisuke Hiramaki (episode director for Yuruyuri San Hai!, Shirobako, New Game!) is directing the series at Doga Kobo (Tada Never Falls in Love, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun). Hiromi Nakagawa (chief animation director for Himouto! Umaruchan, Rewrite) is designing the characters, and Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, My Sweet Tyrant) is in charge of series composition.

Maria Sashide, Rika Nagae, Akari Kitō, Hitomi Ohwada, and Naomi Ōzora are performing the opening theme song "Kimama na Tenshi-tachi" (Carefree Angels) as the group WATATEN!☆5. The group is also performing the ending theme song "Happy Happy Friends." The single featuring both songs will ship on January 30.

Mukunoki launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yurihime magazine in 2016, and the publisher released fourth volume on November 15. The fifth volume will ship on January 11.
