The official website for the television anime of Kei Amagi's Assassins Pride light novel series revealed two new cast members for the anime on Wednesday. The new cast members are (Note: Character name romanizations are not official.):

Sora Tokui as Black Madea, a knight of the Midnight Sun Order

Asami Seto as Shinhua Tsvetok, a third-year-student at St. Frideswide Girls' Academy

The anime will premiere in Japan on AT-X on Thursday, October 10 at 11:30 p.m., before debuting later that night on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS NTV.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime, and it will stream on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan. Sentai Filmworks describes the story:

In a world where only nobles wield the sacred power of mana to wage war against the creatures of darkness, a curious absence of ability places young Merida in a precarious position. Under the guise of tutelage, Kufa, a ruthless assassin, is sent to assess Merida's abilities and determine if she is the true-born heir of the prestigious Angel family. If she does not measure up to her family's expectations, another, more ruthless plan will be set in motion…

Kazuya Aiura (episode director on Citrus, My Sister, My Writer) is directing the anime at EMT Squared (The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar, Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear). Deko Akao (Amanchu!, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Noragami) is in charge of the series scripts, and Maho Yoshikawa (Amnesia, Yona of the Dawn) is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Yoshiko Saitō (A Certain Magical Index III) is serving as sub-character designer and also chief animation director.

Voice actress unit Run Girls, Run! is performing the anime's opening song "Share the light." Tomori Kusunoki, who voices Melida Angel, is performing the ending theme song "Ijin-tachi no Jikan" (Time of Foreigners). The singles for both theme songs will ship on November 27.

Amagi launched the novels with illustrations by Nino Ninomoto in 2016. Yoshie Katō (Shindere Shōjo to Kodoku na Shinigami) launched a manga adaptation in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in May 2017.
