Indian Dubs of A Couple of Cuckoos, Tomo-chan is a Girl, More Anime Stream as Free Titles

Crunchyroll added the television anime of Miki Yoshikawa's A Couple of Cuckoos (Kakkō no Iinazuke) manga as a free title in India on Wednesday along with its English dub, Hindi dub, and Tamil and Telugu dubs. It also added the Hindi dub of the television anime of Fumita Yanagida's Tomo-chan Is a Girl! (Tomo-chan wa Onna no Ko) manga as a free title.

Additionally, the streaming service added the television anime for Bokuto Uno's Reign of the Seven Spellblades (Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru) light novel series and its English dub and Hindi dub as a free-to-watch on the same day.

A Couple of Cuckoos premiered in the NUMAnimation programming block on TV Asahi and its affiliates in April 2022. Crunchyroll added the Hindi dub of the anime in March 2023 and the Tamil and Telegu dubs on October 29.

Hiroaki Akagi (Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san, Those Snow White Notes) was the chief director of the anime and Yoshiyuki Shirahata (episode director for Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle, Great Pretender) directed the anime at Shin-Ei Animation and SynergySP. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Kaguya-sama: Love is War both seasons, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun) oversaw the series scripts, and Aya Takano (Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san, Polar Bear's Café) designed the characters. Ikimonogakari vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka performed the opening theme song "Dekoboko" (Rough), and Sangatsu no Phantasia performed the anime's ending theme song "Shikaku Unmei" (Square Destiny).

Yoshikawa (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Yankee-kun to Megane-chan) launched the ongoing manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in January 2020. Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English.

Tomo-chan Is a Girl! premiered in January 2023 in Japanese and with an English dub. Crunchyroll added the Hindi dub on November 14.

Hitoshi Namba directed the anime at Lay-duce with assistant director Noriko Hashimoto. Megumi Shimizu (Banished From The Heroes' Party, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) served as the head writer, and Shiori Hiraiwa designed the characters. Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, 2019's Fruits Basket) composed the music.

Yanagida launched the manga as a four-panel manga on Seikaisha's "Twi4" (Twitter 4-koma) Twitter account, beginning in April 2015, and it continued on the company's Saizensen website. The manga won Da Vinci and streaming service Niconico's second Tsugi ni Kuru Web Manga Awards in 2015.

The manga ended in its eighth volume, which shipped in September 2019.

Reign of the Seven Spellblades premiered on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 7. Crunchyroll began streaming the English dub of the anime in India in July and the Hindi dub of the anime on August 5.

Masato Matsune (Chronos Ruler) directed the series at J.C. Staff, and Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) oversaw the series scripts. Sōta Suwa (Combatants Will Be Dispatched!) designed the characters. Kujira Yumemi (In the Land of Leadale) composed the music.

Uno published the first Reign of the Seven Spellblades novel volume in September 2018 with illustrations by Ruria Miyuki. The novel series ranked #1 in the 2020 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook. Yen Press publishes the light novel series in English.

Sakae Esuno launched a manga adaptation of the Reign of the Seven Spellblades novels in Kadokawa's Shonen Ace magazine in May 2019.
